Think of your backyard design while planning your house as pool placement can affect cost. Make sure your house builder is happy to work with a pool builder and don’t take their word for it – get it in writing! It can save you money by getting the pool in at the right time. With smaller blocks these days it is so important to be able to work the construction of your pool in with the house.
The pool can be engineered to carry the weight of the house which is usually cheaper than the builder dropping footings etc for installing the pool later. Also – the messy part of the pool build is done on a vacant site before the house is built.
You may need to consider getting your builder or scaffolder to cover the pool so its safe during the build, but this cost is often outweighed by the early easy access and saving on house engineering.
